Shot trap with combined material insert

The shot trap is composed of various retaining materials. In the main shot zone (1), there is a laminar shot trapping device (2), usually consisting of 4-12 plastics plates 5-15 mm thick, running perpendicular to the shot direction, with a min. spacing of 10 mm from each other. This device is attached to a suspension device (3) which is behind a shot screen consisting of a steel plate (4) with a retaining layer (5) in front of it. The suspension device may be rigidly fixed, or may be attached to a manual or motorised device for raising and lowering it.
