The device has a plate (8) with an arrangement of mounting boreholes (9,10,11), which is welded to the roller axle (2) and bolted to the load carrying part. The plate has at least ten through holes in it. The plate has different sets of standard size boreholes defining a rest. At least some of the holes have an internal thread. The holes correspond to those in the load carrier. The plate can be of steel with a positive locking recess for the roller axle.
