Multi-purpose machine for use as printer FAX and optical scanner

A multi purpose machine provides the functions of a printer (2), a scanner (3), printer (4) and FAX machine (5). The system has a single controller (1) that is computer based and has a CPU, image processor and analysing circuitry. Interfaces connect with the printer and scanner. The printer control unit can interface with a host computer and the FAX controller with the telephone network. Built into the machine is a unit to manage stored data (6).
