A numerical generation circuit consists of an accumulator (12) and memory (20). The accumulator has an addition unit (25), a register (26) and a clock (10). The output (5) of the numerical generation unit is fed to a filtering and truncation unit (40). The filtering (60) and truncation (61) unit (40) has a feedback loop and subtraction unit (45) and supplies a digital to analogue convertor (30) followed by a pass band filter (35). The subtraction unit (45) subtracts two series of samples having different numbers of binary elements.
