摘要 The invention relates to a process for fabricating a composite material (12) reinforced with carbon fibres (16) and having a matrix (14) containing silicon carbide and molybdenum disilicide, where the matrix (14) is formed from a powder mixture of silicon carbide, carbon and molybdenum disilicide, the powder mixture is admixed with a binder and carbon fibres are subsequently mixed in, the fibre-matrix mixture thus obtained is pressed into a mould provided for this purpose with application of elevated pressure and cured at from 120 DEG C to 140 DEG C in the intended mould, the cured shaped body is pyrolysed at a temperature between 800 DEG C and 1000 DEG C, the shaped body is then treated from the outside with liquid or paste-like silicon and is subsequently heat-treated in two stages, namely first a pyrolysis at from 800 DEG C to 1000 DEG C and then storage at a temperature above the melting point of silicon, preferably at from 1500 DEG C to 1700 DEG C. <IMAGE>
