PURPOSE:To provide a controller for an air conditioner with a test mode function which is capable of reading out the contents of a RAM without erasing the same even upon runaway of a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:There are provided on a control board 1 of an air conditioner an input buffer 3 for inputting serial data, an output drive 4 for outputting the serial data, and an external connection test connector 5 for connecting the input buffer 3 and the output drive 4 with each other. There is further provided 1/F means 8 for connection with the test connector 5, through which the foregoing members are connected with a personal computer 9, etc., for provision on the control board 1. The contents in a RAM 23 included in the microcomputer 2 are read out. On the control board of the air conditioner, there are provided reset means 6a, a reset switch 6b, and a RAM clear discrimination switch 7 for deciding that the contents of the RAM are not cleared upon resetting. Hereby, with the switch on, the contents of the RAM can be read out without being cleared even when it is reset. |
