<p>PURPOSE:To raise the twist rigidity of a lateral member by coupling a pair each of longitudinal and transverse members roughly in parallel crosses, and arranging a fuel tank in the space surrounded by these members, and laying the flanges of a fuel tank on top of the horizontal plane of a lateral member. CONSTITUTION:A multilink type of rear suspension RS is equipped with a subframe SF attached to the bottom of a main frame MF. This subframe SF is constituted by connecting a pair of lateral members 8a and 8b extending in the right and left direction of the car body and a pair of longitudinal members 9 extending in back and forth direction integrally in parallel crosses, and a fuel tank 17 having such structure that it is halved above and below in two and that the two are jointed together by flanges is arranged in the space surrounded by these members 8 and 9. The flanges 21a and 21b at one sidewall each of the fuel tank 17 are laid on the horizontal plane H of the lateral member 8a, and the flanges at the other walls are thrusted in the hat- form groove made in the lateral member 8b.</p> |
