PURPOSE:To obtain a current lead, i.e., a connecting conductor, comprising a pair of high temperature side conductor and a low temperature side conductor in which the operation is stabilized by eliminating unbalanced cooling between the pair of conductors. CONSTITUTION:A pair of lead conductors comprising high temperature side conductors 24A, 24B made of a highly conductive metal and low temperature side conductors 28A, 28B made of an oxide based superconductor, coupled directly, are contained in outer tubes 23, 29. In such current lead, the low temperature side conductors 28A, 28B are formed substantially into semicylinders being combined through an insulating spacer thus providing cooling gas channels on the inside and outside. At least a pair of low temperature side conductors 28A, 28B are cooled by low temperature helium gas flowing through a same cooling channel thus sustaining the superconducting state. |
