PRODUCTION OF NLO ACTIVE DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a faster manufacturing method on an industrial scale for the NLO(nonlinear optical) device and the device including an optical waveguide structure. CONSTITUTION: This is a method for manufacturing the NLO device which forms an optical waveguide structure containing one or more layers of an NLO polymer having a group enabling overpolarization by exposing the NLO polymer to an electric field while heating the NLO polymer for the polling of the said group, and the NLO polymer is brought into contact with a fed electric conductor generating heat energy by being heated; and the device is manufactured by the method and the fed electric conductor functions as an electrode when electrooptically operating on connected light.
