PURPOSE:To execute plotting at a high speed by dividing a plotted figure into plural sub-areas when the plotting of a character and a graphic, etc., whose outline is shown by a vector are performed. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a co-ordinate data take-out part 1 taking out the co-ordinate data (start point, end point, control point) of the vector showing the outline from the font data such as the character and the figure, etc., an area classification co-ordinate data distribution part 2 deciding which sub-area among plotting sub-areas divided beforehand the vector can pass through, an area classification co-ordinate data storage part 3 storing the co-ordinate data by the classification of sub-area capable of passing through them based on the decision result of the part 2 and an outline plotting part 4 reading out the vector co-ordinate stored by the sub-area classification from the area classification co-ordinate data storage part 3 and plotting the vector to enter the sub-area. |
