CLOCK SUPPLY SYSTEM, REFERENCE CLOCK SUPPLY UNIT, OPERATING CLOCK SUPPLY UNIT, AND INFORMATION PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To provide the clock supply system for microcomputer or the like which doesn't bring about the noise regardless of supply of a high-frequency clock signal to a processing unit and is small-sized and inexpensive and has a large number of degrees of freedom to easily change the frequency of the clock signal. CONSTITUTION:The system consists or a rear time clock module 10, which supplies a reference clock signal, and an operation clock supply unit 20 which is distributedly arranged in the vicinity of the processing unit like a CPU 2 and supplies a high-frequency operation clock signal based on the reference clock signal. The unit 20 is an IC chip independent of the processing unit or the like and is realized in a constitution common to frequencies of clock signals and supplies the operation clock signal having a desired frequency by only changing a set value. The reference clock signal is permitted to have a low frequency, and the occurrence of noise is suppressed, and the inexpensive system having a large number of degrees of freedom is obtained.
