<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a trouble resulting from differential settlement of ground in a piping system laid in a reclaimed land. CONSTITUTION:In a piping system 1 laid within a vertical plane, an inner cylindrical pipe 3 is connected to an outer cylindrical pipe 5 in the vertical posture through an expansion joint 7, and an outer cylindrical pipe 6 provided in the horizontal posture is connected to an inner cylindrical pipe 4 through an expansion joint 8. To the vertical component of a differential settlement, the outer cylindrical pipes 5, 6 and the inner cylindrical pipe 4 are vertically displaced by the difference in settlement quantity between a structure 13 and the circumferential ground 14 to the inner cylindrical pipe 3 apparently standing still to the structure 13, and to the horizontal component, the inner cylindrical pipe 4 is horizontally displaced by the difference in horizontal displacement quantity between the structure 13 and the circumferential ground 14 to the inner cylindrical pipe 3 and the outer cylindrical pipes 4, 5 apparently standing still to the structure 13. Thus, the piping 1 can independently conform to the vertical component and horizontal component of the differential settlement, and bending deformation of the expansion joints 7, 8 can be prevented.</p> |
