<p>PURPOSE:To decode a video signal correctly by recording compressed coding image information in compliance with the Moving Picture Experts Group(MPEG) in a prescribed way. CONSTITUTION:When a compression coded video signal is recorded based on the MPEG standards, a replica 2 of a sequence header of a sequence 2 succeeding to a sequence 1 is added to a head of a final Group of Picture(GOP) in, e.g. the sequence 1. Thus, even in the case of rewinding reproduction over sequences, sequence header information of a new sequence being a skipped destination is read and a video image is correctly decoded.</p> |
