摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a frequency-standard laser apparatus whose frequency accuracy and stability are high and which is small and low-cost. CONSTITUTION:A comb generator 1 is constituted of a nonlinear crystal body 2. Total reflecting faces 6, 7 are formed on opposite narrow side faces 3, 4 along the long axis of the nonlinear crystal body 2. Electrodes 8, 9 are installed on opposite wide side faces which are at right angles to the side faces 3, 4 along the long axis of the nonlinear crystal body 2, and a modulated signal is applied to the electrodes 8, 9 from a high-frequency power supply 10. Corners at opposite diagonal corners of the nonlinear crystal body 2 are cut out, cutout faces 11, 12 are formed, a partial reflecting face 13 is formed on the cutout face 11, and a total reflecting face 14 is formed on the cutout face 12. A Fabry- Perot etalon is formed of the partial reflecting face 13 and of the total reflecting face 14, and light is propagated zigzag inside the nonlinear crystal body while it is being reflected by the total reflecting faces 6, 7. The partial reflecting face 13 and the total reflecting face 14 are designed in such a way that a laser beam is vertically incident. The laser beam is incident on, and radiated from, the partial reflecting face 13.
