PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorizing element capable of removing malodors and noxious gases with a simple structure, not requiring the exchange of the materials of parts, excellent in shock resistance and capable of withstanding use over a long period of time or use under severe conditions. CONSTITUTION:An enamel layer 3 is formed on the surface of a metallic fin 2 with a heater 1 and a catalyst layer 4 is disposed on the enamel layer 3 to obtain the objective deodorizing element for oxidative decomposition of malodorous substances by the action of the catalyst layer.
