PURPOSE:To provide an overcurrent protector tar protecting a machine with small number of current limiting/interrupting switches. CONSTITUTION:Current is distributed from one power supply 1 through current limiting/interrupting switch circuits 11, 12 to machines 2, 3 and 4, 5 in corresponding machine groups 8, 9. When an overcurrent flows through the machine 2, a corresponding current limiting/interrupting switch circuit 11 interrupts the current instantaneously thus protecting all machines 2, 3 belonging thereto. A reset circuit 35 specifies a ground fault machine 2 based on signals 29, 30 received from overcurrent detectors 17, 18 for respective machines 2, 3 and delivers a control signal 23 only to a control switch 13 for the faulty machine 2 thus prohibiting current supply to the machine 2. Under that state, a reset signal 33 is delivered to the current limiting/interrupting circuit 11 in order to restart the remaining machines 3 belonging to that machine group 8. |
