PURPOSE:To suppress the deflection quantity of a glass substrate even if color filters are formed to a larger size by arranging all the color filters in the state of setting the long sides of the color filters in parallel with the long side of the glass substrate. CONSTITUTION:Six pieces of the square color filters 2 for LCDs are formed in two rows and three columns in the prescribed positions on the square glass substrate 1. The directions of the color filters 2 for LCDs are so set that the long sides of the color filters 2 for LCDs parallel with the long side of the glass substrate 1, i.e., the long sides of the color filters 2 for LCDs diametrally face the long side of the glass substrate 1. Both of the spacing between the long side of the glass substrate l and the corresponding long sides of the color filters 2 for LCDs and the spacing between the short side of the glass substrate 1 and the corresponding short sides of the color filters 2 for LCDs are set at <=40mm. The color filters 2 for LCDs are sized >=8.5 inches. |
