PURPOSE:To provide a continuous centrifuge by which even a plate-like workpiece is smoothly and continuously conveyed and also the normal and continuous centrifugal treatment of the workpiece is possible. CONSTITUTION:This centrifuge consists of a casing 2 provided with a carry-in port 3 for carrying in a workpiece W, a carry-out port 7 for carrying out the workpiece W and a liquid collecting port 8 for taking out a separated liquid from the workpiece W, a perforated drum 11 rotatably arranged in the casing 2 and provided with a lot of liquid discharge holes 12, a feeding port 13 communicating with the carry-in port 13 of the casing 2 at its one end and a discharge port 16 communicating with the carry-out port 7 of the casing 2 at its other end respectively on its peripheral wall, a screw conveyor 21 rotatably arranged in the perforated drum 11 on the coaxial line with the drum 11 and provided with a spiral blade 30 on the periphery of a rotary shaft 22, and a motor 43 (a rotation driving device) for rotating the perforated drum 11 and a screw conveyor 21 in the same direction while giving difference in rotation velocity between them. The blade 30 of the screw conveyor 21 is provided so that it can be elastically displaced in the radial direction, and also comes into slidable contact with the inner peripheral surface of the perforated drum 11 by elastic force in the centrifugal direction. |
