<p>PURPOSE:To provide a combustor having a simplified construction and a combustion control method for the same for use in a ram jet engine and a gas turbine engine. CONSTITUTION:The title combustor comprises at least two main fuel injection devices 10, 20 which are installed in the interior of a main body 1 of a ram jet engine and control the amount of fuel injection independently of one another, flame stabilizers 30, 40 arranged correspondingly with and downstream of the respective main fuel injection devices 10, 20, and a pilot fuel injection device 32 and an ignition means 34 installed in one 30 of the flame stabilizers 30, 40. At low load the fuel is injected only by one 10 of the main fuel injection devices and is ignited by the pilot fuel to stabilize combustion. At high load the fuel is also injected by leaving one 20 of the main fuel injection devices to obtain a cruising speed. Leanly premixed combustion is realized to sufficiently suppress the generation of NOX.</p> |
