PURPOSE:To manufacture highly foamed coaxial cables using nitrogen and carbon dioxide gas as a mixed gas which is a substitution for a fleon. CONSTITUTION:A polyethylene coating with several tens mum thickness is formed on a center conductor 1 by a precoat extruding apparatus 15, polyethylene foamed by a mixed gas is supplied to an extruding apparatus 17 by which polyethylene is melted and extruded, and an insulating coating is formed. A cable coated with the insulating coating is sent to an adhesive applying apparatus 31 in which a hot melting adhesive solution is stored and after an adhesive layer is formed on the surface of the insulator, the cable is coiled by a coiling apparatus 21. |
