PURPOSE:To obtain the composition capable of forming the lubricating films maintaining good abrasion resistance and further improved in seizure resistance. CONSTITUTION:This composition for forming lubricating films comprises 3-30-wt.% of a binder and 70-97wt.% of a solid lubricant selected from MoS2, WS2, BN, graphite and carbon fibers. The binder comprises a resin selected from a polyimide resin, an epoxy resin and a phenolic resin, and a film-forming auxiliary. Since the composition contains the solid lubricant in a high concentration and the film-forming auxiliary, the solid lubricant is strongly held in the formed lubricating film. Since the initial conformability is thereby good, the seizure resistance of the lubricating film is excellent. Further, since the falling of the lubricating film is prevented, the abrasion resistance of the lubricating film is improved. |
