摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce a setting time and the number of wavelengths by setting an optical path so as to minimize the number of accommodated optical paths of an optical transmission line and reducing the number of multiple wavelengths by 2nd setting in the optical communication network where wavelength multiplex optical cross connectors are connected by the optical transmission line. CONSTITUTION:The optical communication network in which wavelength multiplex cross connectors 1-9 having plural nodes are interconnected by corresponding optical transmission lines 11-22 is controlled by an optical path controller 41. For example, an optical path 31 or the like of the shortest path minimizing the number of accommodated optical paths accommodated in the transmission lines 11-22 is set as a current path between a start point 33 and an end point 34. Similarly, an optical path 32 being a bypass with a few standby optical path accommodation number is set as a standby path to each of the transmission lines 11, 12, 15, 20. Furthermore, as to optical paths maximizing the number of multiplexed wavelengths, a current path and a standby path are set again to decrease the number of wavelengths. The setting time is reduced by the method with less setting number and the number of multiplexed wavelengths is reduced.
