<p>PURPOSE:To provide a tool holder for locking a tool to be coupled smoothly and positively while protecting the component against damage under locked state. CONSTITUTION:A tool supporting tube 7 is provided, in the peripheral wall thereof, with a groove 16 into which a lock pin 17 projecting from the outer periphery at a coupling part 8 is inserted when a tool 6 is fitted, at the coupling part 8, to the tool supporting tube 7. The insertion groove 16 is provided, in the way thereof, with a stop groove 18 extending in the peripheral direction for stopping the lock pin 17 entering through the insertion groove 16 when the tool 6 is turned in one direction while being fitted, at the coupling part 8, to the tool supporting tube 7. The tool supporting tube 7 is arranged, on the outer periphery thereof, with a movable operating ring 19 and a stopper 20 having a stopper 20a is projecting from inner peripheral surface thereof toward the insertion groove 16. The operating ring 19 is urged by a spring 22 toward the forward end of the tool supporting tube 7 so that the stopper 20 is located constantly at a position for closing the open end of the groove 18.</p> |
