PURPOSE:To obtain an azaspiro[4,5]decatrienone compound useful as an intermediate for pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, etc., by cyclizing an oxime having a specific structure in the presence of a tetraalkylammonium perrhenate and trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. CONSTITUTION:This azaspiro[4,5]decatrienone compound of formula III is produced by the cyclization reaction of (A) an oxime of formula I (R1 is a 1-10C alkyl; X1 is H, a 1-10C alkoxy or hydroxy; X2 is a 1-10C alkoxy or hydroxy) (e.g. 1-methyl-3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-ketoxime) in the presence of (B) a tetraalkylammonium perrhenate of formula H (R2 is a 1-10C alkyl) (e.g. tetrabutylammonium perrhenate) and trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. The amount of the perrhenate and the sulfonic acid in the component B is 0.01-2.0mol, preferably 0.05-1.5mol each based on 1mol of the oxime. |
