PURPOSE:To provide a light frequency selection switch capable of selecting arbitrary plural light signals from plural light signals subjected to frequency multiplexing and switching over the optical paths thereof at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:The light signals f1 to f4 from an input waveguide 1 among the light signals branched to every light frequency propagate in a waveguide group 8 and the light signals f'1 to f'4 from an input waveguide 2 propagate in a waveguide group 9. These light signal are introduced to a spatial optical switch array 10, The light signals f1, f'2, f'3 and f4 past this array propagate in the waveguide group 11 and the light signals f'1, f2, f3 and f'4 propagate in the waveguide group 12. The light signals f1, f'2, f'3 and f4 from the waveguide group 11 are branched and are introduced and outputted to a first output waveguide 13. The light signals f'1, f2, f3 and f'4 from the waveguide group 12 are similarly muiltiplexed and are introduced and outputted to a second output waveguide 14. |
