PURPOSE: To obtain a guide for sending a web applicable to a change of an interval of guide rollers by movably or slidably providing the guide for a tensile means at at least one part with at least two parts constitution. CONSTITUTION: A chain type guide has a fixed guide 24 and a movable guide 26 fixed to a frame. The guide 24 has limiting strip pieces 29, 31 for receiving and guiding C-shaped sectional chain traveling track 27 having a wedge shape member 28 and one side tracks 41, 42 at both sides. The guide 26 has holders 38, 39 for receiving the track 27, which is disposed on a periphery of a guide roller 11. A roller chain 44 in the track 27 is useful to feed the web. A slide block holding the roller 11, the track 27 and a shaft 43 is movable to an arrow B through a threaded spindle to move the roll 11 at a predetermined distance. In this case, the roller 11 is surrounded by the track 27 irrespective of the present position. |
