Date Aug. 2, 1993.A temperature sensitive fluid-type fan coupling device is provided. The device includes a rotating shaft having a hollow housing rotatably mounted on one end. The housing is divided into an oil basin chamber and a torque transmission chamber. A driving disc is securely mounted to the driving shaft and is disposed within the torque transmission chamber of the housing. The driving disc is substantially hollow and includes a plurality of radially aligned walls extending inwardly from outer circumferential portions thereof. A through hole extends through a central portion of a side wall of the driving disc opposite the rotating shaft. A plurality of apertures extend through the opposed side wall of the driving disc at radially outer positions thereon. Oil flow into and out of the hollow driving disc is controlled to avoid accompanying rotation during the short period of time after starting the engine.
