The present invention is for a device to select a piece of goods from a storage and convey it to a specific position. The invention is primarily intended to be used in retail business to convey goods from a storage to one out of several checkout desks. One object of the invention is to eliminate ergonomicly unsuitable work. Another object of the invention is to reduce, by means of a centralised storage, the costs for storage as capital- and handling costs and to reduce the losses due to theft and waste. Another object of the invention is to reduce the costs for installation of such equipment. The goods which is to be handled is stored as packages 13 in two rows of storage compartments 11 and 12. Adjacent to the lower edge of the storage compartments there is a movable funnel or collector which is movable parallel to the compartments on bearing arrangments such as guides, rails, arms or the like. There are also tubes for pneumatic conveyance of selected pieces of goods. The funnel or collector may carry push out devices. <MATH> |
