A slide (1) for a zip-fastener comprises a slide member (6) and a gripping member (8) which is inserted in a stirrup member (7) of the slide member (6). The underside of the free end of the stirrup member (7) bears a locking part (15) which engages between the zip-fastener members in order to secure the zip-fastener against undesired opening. Formed in the side edge areas of the upper and lower faces of the slide member are guide ribs (23, 24) whose free ends, pointing in the closure direction (27), taper to form fingers (30, 31). When the zip-fastener tapes (2, 3) are subject to particularly great stresses, these fingers (30, 31) each engage in the directions of the arrows (33, 34) between two zip-fastener members (4), so increasing the locking effect. |
