Powered drive transmission for vehicle door lock actuators has an input shaft 12 powered by a motor 10 and having a pinion 14 meshed with an intermediate gear 16. An output element typically a worm screw 22 is linked e.g. by a nut 28 for locking and unlocking movement of the lock and a centrifugal or other automatic clutch acts between the intermediate gear and the output element, transmitting power from the motor but permitting free-wheeling movement of the output element without back drive to the gearing when the linkage is shifted by other means. <IMAGE> |
