A propylene block copolymer contains 100 parts by weight of a propylene polymer (a) chosen among propylene homopolymers and copolymers having at most 6 % by weight ethylene and/or an alpha-olefin having 4 to 6 carbon atoms; 1 to 100 parts by weight of an ethylene polymer (b) chosen among ethylene homopolymers and copolymers having at most 90 % by weight propylene and/or another alpha-olefin having 4 to 6 carbon atoms. Said block copolymer further contains approximately 0.001 to approximately 20 % by weight of monomer units derived from alpha , omega -diene in relation to the total weight of the block copolymer.
