PURPOSE:To manufacture a product which has small center deviation over the longitudinal direction and is excellent in dimensional accuracy by providing guide rollers and guiding a material to be rolled to just near biting in the universal rolling of a wide flange shape. CONSTITUTION:The guide rollers are composed by arranging an upper roller 2a for guiding a rolled stock 1 by restraining the end parts 1a of upper flange of the rolled stock 1 and lower roller 2b for guiding the rolled stock by restraining the end parts 1b of the lower flange in front of a finishing universal rolling mill. These upper and lower rollers 2a, 2b are freely rotatably held on upper and lower roller supporting shafts via bearings. The vertical positions of the upper and lower roller supporting shafts are individually adjustable and the positions of the upper and lower rollers 2a, 2b are properly set corresponding to rolling conditions. The upper and lower rollers 2a, 2b are inserted into clearances formed with the side faces of upper and lower horizontal rolls 14a and right and left vertical rolls 14b. In this rolling device train, the material to be rolled is guided to just before biting with rolls while maintaining sure contact of both ends of the flanges with rollers. Thus, the deviation of web center is suppressed over the entire length of rolling. |
