BAND-GAP VOLTAGE GENERATOR AND METHOD FOR REDUCTION OF ITS SENSITIVITY

PURPOSE: To provide a band gap voltage generator capable of supplying a desired band gap voltage by a low power supply voltage. CONSTITUTION: This band gap voltage reference generator uses a simple band gap voltage reference supply circuit 30 for which a power supply removal ratio PSRR is virtually zero, uses an extremely low power supply voltage VDD and generates an output band gap voltage VBG. In order to increase the PSRR, signals generated by the band gap voltage reference supply circuit are amplified by a high gain amplifier circuit 40 composed of two cascade connected FETs. The amplified signals are used for driving a voltage adjustment circuit composed of the FET 14 used as a voltage control current sink. The voltage adjustment circuit adjusts a voltage supplied from a power source to the band gap voltage reference supply circuit.
