Carrier for installation of computer module

A carrier is provided for a computer housing (35) and is in the form of a frame (1) that has side feet (8) for mounting purposes. The frame has a hollow section that receives and guides (14) the inserted computer module. Within the internal section of the frame base is a cross member (4) that has a connector housing (11). A second frame (21) with a connector (49) can be fitted into the main frame. Contacts are engaged by the pins of the computer module. A latching clip (50) is provided to securely retain the computer.
