Electric food processor with interchangeable tools

The food processor has a tool identification device for identifying the tool (44) fitted to the drive shaft of the electric drive unit, for regulation of the actual revs. The tool is provided with a number of signal sources (12), cooperating with a sensor (14) within the housing (18) of the food processor, the relative spacings between the signal sources differing for each tool. Pref. the signal sources are attached to the tool at a given spacing from its rotation axis, in the plane of rotation of the tool, the signal source supported by a flange secured to the drive shaft.
