The shower curtain (4) is designed like a roller blind made from plastics or textiles and is moved from an extended closed shower position up into the opened entry position by an operating device (7,8,9). The shower curtain/blind can hang from a support rod (3) fixable above the bath or shower tray with the operating means formed by cords (8) and eyelets. The shower curtain can run by associated slide elements along an aluminium or plastics guide rail (6) fixed vertically against the wall.
