Fluidised drier bed jets directed above plane of neighbouring jets

A fluidised drier bed has a base (1) incorporating a large number of ring slot jets, each one of which consists of a jet pipe (3) surrounding an aperture (2). At the upper end of each jet assembly the pipe (3) and surrounding removable plate (8) form a ring slot (11). The novelty is that the ring slot (11) runs outwards in a rising inclined radial plane, such that the ring slot (11) middle axis (MA) reaches above the jet plate (8) of the neighbouring ring slot jet. The ring slot (11) has a conical cross-section narrowing in an outwards direction. The upper inclined plane of the emerging jet flow is five degrees to the horizontal with respect to the jet plate (8) axis. The jets (3) and jet plates (8) are locked into the base (1) by central threaded bolts (14) assembled onto a base plate (17) from which they are maintained at a distance by spacers (18).
