Control for generator in hybrid vehicle

A control unit for the generator output of a hybrid electric- and IC- powered car has a travel pattern recognition device which recognises a repeated journey plus a storage unit for the data on the energy consumption during the particular journey. The control device ensures that the generator supplies sufficient energy to cover the consumption during that journey. The recognition device has inputs relating to the start and finish of the journey. There is a unit to determine the energy consumption plus a unit to update the stored values for energy consumption, using the mean value of several individual consumptions during the journey.
