Box for trapping insects

The transparent plastics box (1) is closed on one side by a sliding bottom (3). On at least three edges around the opening of the box is an outward-curved rim (2) on which, on two opposite-facing sides of the sliding bottom, an upright handle (5) slides by means of a flanging (4). The third side of the rim serves as a holder when the sliding bottom is fully extended. The sliding bottom has either a strip (7a) or an arm (7b) stuck to it, for stopping the slide piece. The sliding bottom is made of transparent plastics or of very thin material such as sheet metal, glass or cardboard. At least two facing sides of the box have recesses (6) for the finger to grip. The transparent side has a number of holes (8) in it.
