A magnetic roll (10) for use in roller pairs (10, 22) of a drafting system (1) on a textile machine. Each magnetic roll (10) includes a central pole member (36) having a rare earth magnet (38, 40) positioned on either side thereof. An end pole member (44, 46) is provided adjacent each magnet (38, 40) and a cot (52) is provided next to each end pole member (44, 46) for gripping and propelling fibers between the roller pairs of the drafting system. |
