<p>A fish bite indicator comprises a rotatable drum (12) with which the line of a fishing rod makes frictional engagement such that movement of the line results in rotation of the drum (12), the drum (12) being mounted on, externally of, a sealed housing (8) in which is located an electronic circuit (24) so arranged that, on rotation of the drum (12), a signal indicative of said rotation is generated by the circuit (24). Control means for the electronic circuit (24) project from the housing (8) and are encased by a flexible membrane (42) sealingly mounted on the housing (8), the interior of the housing (8) being completely sealed from the exterior thereof.</p> |
