The interactive NC apparatus is capable of confirming a work region. After a material shape and a component shape are displayed on a display, a start cursor (DS) and an end cursor (DE) of the work region are located and a moving direction by an arrow. The NC apparatus displays a work region (DEFGHI) with lines of a different kind from the lines representing the material shape and the component shape. After confirming this display, the operator instructs drawing of the blank shape after machining.
