PURPOSE:To improve the digestibility and efficiency of feed by immobilizing an enzyme on a ceramic material and feeding poultry with the obtained immobilized grit in the form mixed with a feed. CONSTITUTION:Enzymes such as protease and cellulase are adsorbed to a ceramic carrier produced by properly compounding porcelain clay, sepiolite and cellulose powder, forming the mixture to spheres of 5mm diameter and sintering the spheres at about 1000 deg.C. The obtained immobilized grit (having a hardness of >=10kg and a protein-adsorptivity of >=3mg BSA/g) is mixed to a feed to improve the digestibility, etc., of the feed. |
