<p>PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for clamping side dump doors of rear body of a vehicle, which is easy to operate, smooth in motion, simple in structure, and ecconomical, but capable of preventing loosening of the lock if it is subjected to vibration during travelling of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus L of this invention is installed, for instance, at front fixing post 7 of rear body 1 and front end portion of side dump door 3 for clamping the side dump door 3 at its closed position. Bearing sleeve 10 is fixed to an upper portion on the rear wall of the post 7, and clamping shaft 11 is mounted on the sleeve 10 in freely rotatable manner. A hollow, semi-cylindrical female connecting piece 12 is fixed to the rear end of the shaft 11, whereas handle shaft 15 formed with clamping portion 16 at its top is connected to the front end of the shaft 11 by means of connecting pins 13, 14. A shaft 23 to be clamped is fixed to an upper portion at the front end of side dump door 3 by means of bracket 22, and a substantially spherical, male connecting piece 24 is fixed to the top of the shaft 23, such that female connecting piece 12 may be engaged with the male connecting piece 24 by the turning of handle shaft 15 and thereby the side dump door 3 may be clampled to the post 7.</p> |
