An improved electronic blood pressure monitor is capable of storing a relatively large amount of data from pulse waveforms using only a relatively small amount of computer storage. a sampling window setting means (6) for setting a window width wide enough (1.5 sec) to include at least a single pulse waveform, a timer means (6) for counting the elapsed time from the start of the window, a detecting means (6,PC) for counting the number of pulse waveforms within that window, a means (6,ST53,ST57) for judging whether or not a predetermined number of pulse waveforms are detected within the window, and a window width switching means (6,ST59) which, in response to an appropriate output from the above-mentioned judging means, can switch the window width to a shorter value (1.0 sec) than that originally set.

|
