<p>A flame-retardant thermoplastic polymer composition has incorporated therein a flame retarder of the formula: <CHEM> wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are H or lower alkyl, Ar<1>, Ar<2>, Ar<3> and Ar<4> are unsubstituted or substituted phenyl, n is a number of 0.5 to 3,000, and each of k and m is an integer of 0 to 2 and k plus m is an integer of 0 to 2. The polymer composition preferably further comprises a salt of a specific triazine derivative with cyanuric acid or isocyanuric acid. A shaped article made of the polymer composition has good flame retardancy, mechanical properties and resistance to hydrolysis.</p> |
