The connection terminal (10) for electrical apparatus includes a thin-walled cage (11) provided with a transverse aperture for the insertion of a wire or an electrical cable (12). A grip screw (14) fits inside an internally threaded portion of the terminal in order to clamp the cable down on to a contact plate (13). The threaded portion of the terminal, and the corresponding thread on the clamp nut has an asymmetric sawtooth cross-section.
