PURPOSE:To provide a multiplying method of which execution time is shortened by reducing the number of steps in a program and removing branch control. CONSTITUTION:In multiplication using one adder and a set of shift registers r0 to r3, a specific carry flag SC to be changed only at the time of executing a right shift instruction is prepared independently of a general carry flag C to be changed by all arithmetic instructions. A switching flag swf for selecting either one of the flags C, SC at the time of judging a condition of a conditioned addition instruction is added to an instruction format in the program. |
