PURPOSE:To produce a black-matrix substrate enhanced in uniformity and capable of being formed into a three-dimensional shape. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer consisting essentially of a UV-curing resin contg. a light shielding substance is provided on a transparent substrate. The coating layer is exposed and partially cured through a photomask having a desired pattern, and the uncoated part after exposure is dissolved in a developer to produce a black-matrix substrate. In this case, the absorptivity of the UV of 300-400nm wavelength in the light shielding substance is virtually lower than that to the visible light. |
