<p>PURPOSE:To provide the object detection device which has high detection precision and superior practicality. CONSTITUTION:Plural distance measuring sensors Sij are arranged uniformly over the entire area above a monitor area, and plural three-dimensional data in the monitor area are obtained from fitting position data and measurement data of the distance measuring sensors Sij. Those three-dimensional data are classified into plural groups by a classifying process part 14. A feature quantity calculation part 15 calculates the feature quantities of the respective groups. Then when an attribute decision part 16 decides the attributes of the groups from the feature quantities of the respective groups, a path specification part 18 extracts only a group having an attribute pertinent to a human being. An extracted group storage part 17 is stored with the latest extracted data and extracted data which are one sample before, and the path specification part 18 compares both of them to specify respective path. When a specified path passes a specific position in the monitor area, an entry/exit counting part 20 detects that and counts how many persons enter and exit.</p> |
